Evangelical Missions Quarterly (EMQ)

For nearly half a century, Evangelical Missions Quarterly (EMQ) has served the Christian missionary community worldwide by providing relevant, engaging, thoughtful articles on a vast array of ministry topics. EMQ continues to remain one of the top journals for missiologists, and is for many thought-practitioners, the premier journal for the North American mission community. Each quarterly issue contains 10-12 articles by mission and church leaders and experienced cross-cultural workers around the world. In the January 2013 issue:Who would have imagined forty-five years ago when EMQ was still in its founding years that issues in the future would focus on patronage, church-based mission, proverbs, syncretism, heart language, community, persecution, development, grief, short-term church-planting mission, and restriction levels? And which EMQ readers might have dared to dream that instead of all the authors being Western males, they would be treated to insights while sitting at the metaphor..
